About us
Bobby Van's first opened in 1969, becoming an instant hotspot for celebrities, local musicians, writers, poets, and artists. With its legacy of high-quality food, superb service, and eclectic atmosphere, it has grown into a reputable brand of restaurants on the East Coast.
In 1989, Bobby Van's was sold to restauranteur Joseph Smith, current owner of five locations in New York City including Broad Street, East 54th Street, West 45th Street, Kennedy Airport, and two in Washington D.C. In 2019, Joseph opened The Hadley in Philadelphia.
